About

The sport of rowing was introduced to me through my father. I began rowing in high school and rowed at Seattle Pacific University. Serving the George Pocock Rowing Foundation as a board member has encouraged me to think about brining the sport of rowing back to Central Oregon. Sharing the sport of rowing with others is a great joy. There is nothing better than seeing others experience the beauty of gliding over the water.

ON WATER TRAINING

Being in a boat on the water is for sure the exciting part and we want to get there as quickly as possible. Building the foundation of rowing form and motion will be key to applying this while on the water and learning all about balance.

OFF WATER TRAINING

New to Rowing? Perfect, these lessons are perfect for you. We will start with a couple rowing machine sessions to learn form and motion. These sessions will include learning boat terminology and etiquette and will be key to sucess on the water.

Lessons

As we bring rowing back to Central Oregon, this first year will be focused on helping individuals learn the fundamentals of rowing and get them out on the water to experience the hard work and joy of rowing. While experience some of the benefits listed below.

Testimonials

I had been interested in rowing for a few years, but didn't know how to get into the sport. A friend introduced me to Megan, and she was able to schedule me for beginner rowing classes. The first day, I was nervous, but Megan's knowledge and passion for rowing put me at ease immediately. She is a calm and patient teacher, educating both on land and in the water. I learned boat safety, technique, and the intricacies of rowing in a fun and relaxed environment. I would highly recommend taking classes from Megan as she is an excellent teacher!
